John is married and has two grown children – boy/girl twins. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia but chose Tampa as his home after doing a tour of duty with the U.S. Army at MacDill Air Force Base. 

John and his family are active members of Idlewild Baptist Church – incorporating mission trips into their ‘family time’ agenda. He also participates in annual mission trips to The Dominican Republic with SCORE International Ministry out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As an avid sports fan - baseball being his favorite - Go Braves! - John volunteers on Saturday mornings to talk sports on a local ESPN radio show; tough job but somebody has to man the mic’s…!
